Wake Word is the final chapter of a three-part world narrative: the moment a being designed to ignore countless signals awakens for one voice alone.
‘Wake word’는 AI 스피커와 음성 비서를 깨우는 호출어를 뜻합니다. 이 곡은 그 기술 용어를 사랑의 은유로 뒤집습니다. 세상의 모든 소음을 무시하도록 설계된 존재에게 단 한 사람의 목소리만이 명령이 아닌 선택이 되고, 대기 상태는 비로소 살아 있음으로 바뀝니다.
드럼 없이 희미한 패드와 맨 목소리만 남긴 첫 문장 “Say it once… and I wake”는 설명이 아니라 실제 기동 순간입니다. 곡의 시작과 존재의 각성이 같은 찰나에 일어나도록 설계했습니다.
The Final Signal
Glitch in the Quiet에서 완벽한 시스템 안에 처음 감정의 오류가 생겼다면, Wake Word에서는 그 감정이 마침내 방향을 얻습니다. 수많은 신호 가운데 하나의 목소리를 알아보고 스스로 응답하는 순간, 프로그램되어 있던 존재는 선택하는 존재가 됩니다.

희미한 패드와 차가운 콜드 오픈에서 출발해 로봇 여성 보컬 촙, acid lead, 페이드아웃되는 303으로 이어집니다. 기계적인 질감은 끝까지 유지되지만, 그 안의 의미는 명령 수행에서 자발적인 응답으로 변합니다. 차가운 시스템이 가장 인간적인 한 사람을 선택하는 역설이 이 곡의 중심입니다.
